Campsite & Tipi
If you like small quiet camp sites where you can have a campfire and enjoy the sights and sounds of the countryside then we are the site for you.
We pride ourselves in offering campers a taste of camping the way it used to be, you wont find any electric hook ups or club house here, nor will you be camping cheek and cowl next to the neighbour’s tent. What you will find in the bucket load is the joys of nature, listen to the birds, spot the rabbits or squirrels and at night listen to the owls and foxes and gaze at the star lit night as you sit by your campfire.
Our small campsite is in a secluded spot on the farm it is surrounded on two sides by a small stream, and woodland and fields on other half.
This camping field has a total of 15 pitches which include spaces in woodland glades and pitches in the field.
Campfires are allowed but we would ask that you use the fire pits provided and DO NOT MOVE THEM Please do not take any fallen logs from the wood as it will upset the ecological balance of the woodland. Logs can be purchased for £5 a bag, or you can bring your own.
Weather permitting you will be able to drive to the field pitches to unpack but your car must be then driven to the car park. Woodland glade pitches are only accessible by foot.
We can take small VW camper vans but no other camper vans, caravans, trailer tents or large commercial vehicles as there is a narrow bridge to cross to get into campsite.
Groups of 4 or more camp pitches booked together we can rope of an area for you. Other pitches go on a first come first served basis but it is unlikely that you will not be able to pitch near a friend.
If you would like to book in a large group please email us using the contact page and out line the numbers you would would like to book in including how many adults or children. We do not take large groups of adults as they can to be loud and unruly and not suitable for a family site.
No amplified music of any sort is allowed this includes car radios.
We will be pleased to welcome you to the farm anytime between 2pm and 8.30pm on day of arrival.
We are unable to take dogs at the campsite.
We have a large camp kitchen with a hot water sinks for washing up, two compost toilets and two hot showers. There is also wood to buy if you feel like having a camp fire. At the farm (5 min walk away along the fairy trail) we have a flush toilet, and a lovely garden to have a stroll through.
We have a Tipi in the camping field if you would like to rent it please let us know. It costs £10 extra a night and sleeps 4. It has a ground sheet and a wood burning stove. A special treat not to be missed!
We can now take all your general rubbish and rest assured everything that can be recycled will be by our waste collector. Please take your broken camping equipment home with you.
